Stability, Well-Being and Resilience for Women and Girls
For women and girls in communities still living with the aftermath of conflict, this project pairs the practical — skills, income, advocacy — with the deeply personal: survivor-centred care that helps people rebuild.
At its heart, the project works to grow women’s capabilities and their power to make decisions, so they can exercise their independence and their rights. It is built for women and girls aged 15 and over in conflict-affected communities across Iraq.
VoiceAdvocacy that starts at the grassroots
Much of the work begins close to home: building women’s advocacy skills at the grassroots and community level, alongside intensive initiatives that put information, tools and real opportunities for economic empowerment and skill-building directly into women’s hands.

UnderstandingShifting how communities see gender
To deepen how communities understand gender norms and dynamics, the project strengthens the people who shape them — local government institutions, media voices, community leaders, activists and local organisations — with gender-sensitivity and awareness skills.
SurvivorsA platform for those who carry the most
Recognising the immense trauma carried by survivors of ISIS, especially Yazidi women and girls, the project creates a platform for their active participation — letting them help shape the discussion on the most effective ways to advance Law No. 8 of 2021. It builds the capacity of survivors and local activists, Yazidi advocates in particular, to make their case at both local and national levels.

CareSurvivor-centred support
Underpinning everything is a survivor-centred approach to sexual and gender-based violence: comprehensive, life-saving case management for SGBV and ISIS-crime survivors, including psychosocial support and trauma relief, with referrals to health, legal and protection services.
By backing the Survivors’ Law, the project aims to help survivors reach justice, recognition and closure — and to rebuild their lives with resilience and dignity.
